Lunar New Year is approaching, the most influential festival in Chinese culture! All generations will be playing Mahjong (麻將) day and night to enjoy the vacation with their relatives and friends. In order to celebrate this festival with all Ephs in advance, the Chinese Club is organizing a Mahjong night on 1/24 (Tue) from 5:30-7:30 pm at Goodrich Hall!
We will guide you through the basic rules if this is your first time playing Mahjong. For those with prior experience, please join us and support your peers! Since there are only two sets of Mahjong (four players per set), you can play puzzle board games while waiting for your turn. For example, Chinese checkers (tiàoqí), Chinese chess (xiàngqí), and flying chess (fēixíngqí) are widespread and enjoyable.
If you only want to try the traditional festival cakes and pastries, welcome! There are also some vegetarian treats. In addition to milk teas, we will provide non-dairy sweetened and unsweetened teas.

❖ Tuesday, Jan. 24, 5:30pm – 7:30 pm | Goodrich Hall
